DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — A pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a pickup truck on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Sergeant Shawn Peddle with the Dawson Creek RCMP, the pickup truck driver was making a left-hand turn onto 8th Street around 4:30 p.m. when a pedestrian entered the intersection.

Peddle says the sun caught the driver’s eye, and he couldn’t see the pedestrian, who was knocked to the ground.
