Letter to Editor: People flock to fresh options offered by BC Conservatives

A Kamloops resident sent in a letter to the editor responding to a recent entry from a Fort St. John resident on vote splitting, claiming that the BC Conservatives will keep the NDP in power.

EDITOR’S NOTE: In response to “BC NDP’s best friend” by Tyler Holte on February 15th.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — The writer of this commentary obviously is NOT aware of the facts surrounding John Rustad’s departure from BC United.

In FACT, John didn’t leave the then BC Liberals, now BC United, he was KICKED OUT by party leader Kevin Falcon. As for any gift-giving to John, the ONLY “gift” he received was being kicked out of BC United, by Kevin Falcon, on his birthday.

The writer of this commentary, despite claiming impartiality, has the barest grasp of reality — deliberate or otherwise.

People are flocking to the Conservative Party of BC because they are offering a fresh option and alternative to decades of governance by both the NDP and BC United, as well as the BC Liberals.

People do NOT want more of the same, which is the reason BC United is polling a distant third to the Conservatives.

Who is really handing a gift to the NDP? It certainly is not John Rustad and BC’s Conservatives.

And yes, I am both a supporter and member of the Conservative Party of BC.
