City of Dawson Creek to host free Family Day Festivities

The City of Dawson Creek is inviting community members to enjoy its free Family Day Festivities on Monday, February 19th.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The City of Dawson Creek is inviting community members to enjoy its free Family Day Festivities on Monday, February 19th. 

According to a release from the city, attendees will have the opportunity to play on several bouncy castles in a free “Bounce Fest”  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ovintiv Events Centre Upper Lobby.

The city is also offering a free public swim from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre.

A free public skate, including free skate and helmet rentals, will be open to the public at the Dawson Creek Memorial Arena from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

“The City of Dawson Creek gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Province of British Columbia, BC Recreation and Parks Association, and all sponsors who have made these free events available to the community,” said the release.

Last Spring, Jordan completed her first season providing play-by-play for Trinity Western University Women’s Hockey and gameday hosting for BCHL Coquitlam Express.

Jordan enjoys radio anchoring, creating and editing video content, and hopes to one day pursue a career in investigative journalism as well as producing documentaries.
