Dusty Road Ventures receives contract to man Mile 62.5 station

The Peace River Regional District has awarded the attendant contract for the Mile 62.5 Transfer Station to Dusty Road Ventures.

DAWSON CREEK B.C. — The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has awarded the attendant contract for the Mile 62.5 Transfer Station to Dusty Road Ventures.

The board awarded the five-year contract at a cost of $381,960 at the January 25th committee of the whole meeting.

The regional directors also voted to authorize the chair and administrative officer to sign the contract on behalf of the PRRD.

According to the report, the Mile 6.2.5 Station at 14106 Dump Road in Charlie Lake was established as an attended site in 2009 that collects household bagged waste and sorted recyclables.

 The PRRD has a network of 16 attended transfer stations. These sites are staffed through four contracts and agreements.

The current contract for attendant services expires on March 31, 2024.
