Norma Jean O’Connell (nee Thomsen) passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024, in Sarnia, Ontario. Born on August 27, 1937, in Medicine Hat, AB to Ralph and Dorothy Thomsen, Norma lived a life filled with purpose, compassion and dedication.

An award-winning realtor and accomplished businessperson, Norma Jean made a lasting impact in her professional endeavours. Her commitment to excellence and integrity set her apart, earning her the admiration and trust of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her successful career, she dedicated herself to community service, embodying the true spirit of generosity and selflessness.

She is pre-deceased by her devoted husband, Dr. Joseph O’Donnell and her cherished son Michael O’Donnell. She is survived by her children James, Ann and Mary; grandchildren Meghan, Katelyn and Lance; and great-grandchild Rowan. Norma is also survived by her brother Jon (Kathy) Thomsen, nephews Tim, Thomas, Scott, Sean, Justin and Brodie and her nieces Jenifer and Riah.
