Fort St. John Chamber of Commerce CEO resigns

The president of the Fort St. John Chamber of Commerce announced the resignation of CEO Kathleen Connolly on Wednesday afternoon.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The president of the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce announced the resignation of CEO Kathleen Connolly on Wednesday afternoon.

President Mitchel Chilcott says Connolly’s last day will be January 19th, 2024.

Chilcott says since her arrival in February 2023, Connolly has brought a “fresh and innovative perspective,” noting that her departure will be felt by everyone involved with the chamber.

“The chamber extends its heartfelt appreciation to Kathleen for her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing the interests of local businesses,” Chilcott wrote in a release.

The chamber wished Connolly the best in her future endeavours.

Connolly says her time with the chamber was “phenomenal,” and the support from the community was “remarkable” and won’t be forgotten.

“I want to thank our membership for their welcome and support and look forward to the great things the chamber will accomplish in the years to come,” Connolly said.

The chamber will begin searching for a new CEO to ensure a seamless transition.
