The Fort St. John RCMP executed several search warrants over the holidays, seizing guns and suspected drugs.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John RCMP executed several search warrants over the holidays, seizing guns and suspected drugs.

Corporal Madonna Saunderson with the North District RCMP said officers executed a search warrant on December 24th in relation to a theft. During the search, they located a handgun and drugs. 

A second search warrant was obtained, and the handgun was found to be loaded, said police. Suspected fentanyl and cocaine were also seized.

On December 26th, another search warrant was issued in relation to an investigation into a break-in and theft of firearms.

A shotgun with the serial number filed off was located and seized.

Saunderson says the matters are still under investigation, and several people could face charges.
