Alwin Holland staff, students raise $700 for Fitter for Life program for Abbeyfield House

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Alwin Holland students and staff worked together to raise $700 for the North Peace Gymnastics Association’s (NPGA) Fitter for Life program.

The school raised the money by selling 25-cent Candy Cane grams before the school closed for the holiday break.

The cheque was presented to NPGA on Thursday.

The Fitter for Life classes for seniors started in October and takes place once a week, offering chair-based to fully active options.

The classes occur during the day, and the preschool program attendees interact with the Fitter for Life participants as well.
