Fort St. John Provincial Court, December 12th sentencing:

Trenton Kelsy Amos Fox (born 1997)

Fox was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm and assault for incidents in Fort St. John on April 28th, 2023. Fox was given 24 days in jail, jail time served, an 18-month probation order, a three-year prohibition from firearms and ordered to submit a DNA sample.

Fort St. John Provincial Court, December 13th sentencing:

Vanessa Rae Davis (born 1986)

Davis was found guilty of two counts of breaching a release order for incidents in Fort St. John on May 3rd, 2023 and August 28th, 2023. Davis was given jail time served.

Frankie Robert Leland (born 1983)

Leland was found guilty of theft of $5,000 or under, breach of release order, wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, three counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, two counts of possessing or using a stolen credit card, obtaining credit by a false pretense or fraud, possession of stolen property and mischief to property over $5,000

All incidents occurred in Fort St. John from October 2022 to August 2023. Leland was given jail time served and a 12-month probation order.

Fort St. John Provincial Court, December 14th sentencing:

Tyrell Corris (born 1992)

Corris was found guilty of assault for an incident on May 29th, 2022, in Fort St. John. Corris was given a conditional discharge, an 18-month probation order and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime. 

A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.

Fort St. John Provincial Court, December 15th sentencing:

Shaun Michel Dinelle (born 1983)

Dinelle was found guilty of two counts of driving while prohibited or with a suspended license for an incident on December 24th, 2022 and June 1st, 2023, in Fort St. John. Dinelle was given fines totalling $1,150, including a victim surcharge, 90 days in jail, and a one-year prohibition from driving.

Thi Ngoc Hue Nguyen (born 1974)

Nguyen was found guilty of causing fear of injury or damage to a person or property for an incident on December 9th, 2022, in Fort St. John. Nguyen was given a 12-month recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, December 12th sentencing:

Alexis Marlyn Ward (born 1999)

Ward was found guilty of causing a fear of injury or damage to a person or property for an incident in Dawson Creek on September 17th, 2021. Ward was given a 12-month, $500 recognizance after the allegation. If they break the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, December 13th sentencing:

Kody Lennard Paul (born 1997)

Paul was found guilty of breaking and entering and committing an indictable offence on June 13th, 2022, in Tumbler Ridge. Paul received a 12-month probation order, $2,000 in restitution, a suspended sentence, and a $100 victim surcharge.

A restitution order requires the offender to pay the victim for financial losses. A suspended sentence is where the accused is given conditions to follow.
