FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A large police presence was spotted at a residence close to Mathew’s Park on Monday, but it turned out to be a false alarm.

Staff Sergeant Scott Watson with the Fort St. John RCMP said an officer believed they saw attempted murder suspect, Jesse Ray Stevens, driving a vehicle. The man was then seen pulling into a driveway and heading inside a house near Mathew’s Park.

“We basically set up a containment on the residence and called the people out, and it turns out it was not that guy,” Watson said.
