Fort St. John residents invited to Skate with the Huskies

The Fort St. John Huskies are inviting the community to join them for a festive evening of skating at the North Peace Arena on December 28th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Huskies are inviting the community to join them for a festive evening of skating at the North Peace Arena on December 28th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Community members are invited to sharpen their skills alongside the team and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate courtesy of Save On Foods.

The Huskies have three remaining games in 2023, starting with a home game against the Fairview Flyers on Wednesday night before a brief Christmas break.

Post-holiday, the team returns to the North Peace Arena for back-to-back matchups — facing the Sexsmith Vipers on December 29th and the La Crete Lumber Barons on the 30th. 

The puck drops for both games at 8 p.m.

During her schooling, Jordan discovered a deep passion for reporting on Indigenous issues, culture and affairs. Jordan is also passionate about connecting with and listening to stories from people from different walks of life and cultural backgrounds.

Last Spring, Jordan completed her first season providing play-by-play for Trinity Western University Women’s Hockey and gameday hosting for BCHL Coquitlam Express.

Jordan enjoys radio anchoring, creating and editing video content, and hopes to one day pursue a career in investigative journalism as well as producing documentaries.

When Jordan isn’t looking for the next great story to tell, she enjoys taking pictures, riding her bike, collecting her favourite rock and roll albums on vinyl, and, of course, cheering on her beloved Canucks. More by Jordan Prentice.
