The Fort St. John RCMP responded to two vehicle incidents on Sunday, a hit-and-run and a two-vehicle collision.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John RCMP responded to two vehicle incidents on Sunday, a hit-and-run and a two-vehicle collision.

Corporal Madonna Saunderson with the North District RCMP said on Sunday at around 4:50 p.m., police received a report of a hit-and-run on 100th Avenue and 98th Street.

Saunderson said a truck had gone through an intersection against the light and damaged the victim’s vehicle. There were no reported injuries.

Around the same time, a two-vehicle crash took place at 93rd Avenue and 96th Street.

Saunderson said the fire department reported the incident to the RCMP around 4:45 p.m.

According to Deputy Fire Chief Matt Troiano, crews arrived on scene to assist with traffic control, and BC Ambulance transported two people to the hospital.

He said the seriousness of the injuries was not reported.

The Fort St. John RCMP and fire department also responded to five vehicle incidents on Monday morning.
