FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The local hospital foundation received a $1,300 donation last week from the Fort St. John Petroleum Association.
The funds came from an auction at the 2023 Petroleum Association Curling Bonspiel from November 15th to 18th.
Spartan Controls had Brendan Bottcher, the 2021 men’s curling Briar Champion and Canadian World Curling Championship representative, speak at the bonspiel. Bottcher had also brought a set of official team jerseys to be auctioned off, and the Petroleum Association Curling Bonspiel committee decided to select a local charity the funds should go towards.
