CHETWYND, B.C. — The Chetwynd RCMP is looking for anyone with information about a dog who was killed last month.

The detachment received a report about the incident on November 29th and has confirmed the dog was shot.

“We can now confirm that the dog had been shot and look to the public for any information to help further this investigation,” said Sargeant Wahnese Antonioni with the Chetwynd RCMP.

The detachment believes this to be an isolated incident and that it was not targeted.

Officers say they are taking the matter seriously, and the investigation is ongoing. 

Anyone in the area of Jackfish Road around 3:50 p.m. on November 29th or anyone with surveillance video is asked to contact the Chetwynd RCMP detachment at 250-788-9221.
