An investigation is underway into a suspicious death after Fort St. John RCMP found a deceased male once they arrived at the scene of a vehicle incident.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — An investigation is underway into a suspicious death after Fort St. John RCMP found a deceased male once they arrived at the scene of a vehicle incident.

On December 6th at 6:09 p.m., the Fort St. John RCMP received a call about a vehicle incident at Thompson Road near Highway 29 in the Charlie Lake area.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located a deceased man and determined the circumstances surrounding the death to be suspicious.

RCMP says an investigation into the cause of death is underway and that they’re unable to provide further information about the incident at this time.

Police are seeking information or witnesses to suspicious circumstances observed in the area of Highway 29 from Bear Flat to Highway 97 on December 6th between 4 p.m. and midnight.

The RCMP is also looking for surveillance or dashcam footage, if available.
