FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The 5th annual Co-op Community Christmas Concert is looking to fill the Lido to spread holiday cheer while raising funds for the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society.

The concert will feature local artists performing holiday music, including Joseph Te Bulte, Johnny and the Guns for Hire and Rei Sasaki, along with her students from Sasaki Piano Studio.

Brad Lussier, general manager of the Fort St. John Co-op, says there are a lot of great non-profits in the community that support people during the Christmas season, and the Women’s Resource Society is one of them.

“We just suggested them and thought it would be a great opportunity to help support them this time,” Lussier said.

The general manager says the Fort St. John Co-op will match donations up to $5,000.

“It really showcases local talents in Fort St. John. It’s not only us getting an opportunity to give back, but it’s also an opportunity for those that are in the community to share some of their talents,” Lussier said.
