NPSS athletics director Jaclyn McNicol says the team played exceptionally well, considering they were missing key veteran players during the tournament.

“All players on the 20-athlete roster stepped up on the field,” said McNicol.

“The Grizzlies held their own even with the injuries of veteran players prior to and during provincials. Other coaches were praising the level of competition the Grizzlies brought from the north.”

Mason Collington earned the title of Top Defensive Player of the tournament, and Leon Truyols was named Top Offensive Player.  Most Valuable Player was awarded to Madix Palfy, who was also selected for the top 16 BC School Sports All-Star Team.

The Grizzlies senior boys soccer team extends their thanks to coaches, parents, sponsors and teachers for all their support this fall.
