Local police located a stolen truck after it crashed into another vehicle and was later found in a ditch Tuesday morning.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Local police located a stolen truck after it crashed into another vehicle and was later found in a ditch Tuesday morning.
Fort St. John RCMP received a report of a stolen truck at 4:46 a.m. after the owner left it unlocked and running at a local convenience store.
The owner had a tracking device for the vehicle and could communicate to police where the truck was.

At about 5 a.m., police observed the truck after an apparent collision with another vehicle on the West Bypass Road near Solar Trail.
The stolen truck fled the scene, and according to the RCMP, was found upside down in a ditch near the intersection of Alaska Road North and West Bypass Road.
The Fort St. John Fire Department helped extract the suspect from the vehicle, and he was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The RCMP says the investigation is ongoing, and the suspect could face several charges.
