Scope of Work:
Project is a First Nations-led collaboration between Saulteau and West Moberly First Nations, South Peace First Nations Primary Care Society, First Nations Health Authority, and The Ministry of Health. The South Peace First Nations Primary Care Centre project is an interior alteration to the ground floor of an existing commercial building located 5016 50 th Avenue Northwest, Chetwynd, BC. The project involves the creation of a Primary Care Centre with integrated clinical and traditional healing practices. The 376msq (4,047sf) centre will take over two suites in the existing commercial building. The program includes provision of welcome area, multi-purpose space, receptionist work hub, five exam rooms, practitioner booths, meeting room, traditional healing space, counselling room, staff offices and associated support spaces including storage, clean and soiled utility, laundry, janitor and IT/comms room.
Scope of work includes demolition of existing interior partitions, suspended ceilings, lighting, flooring, millwork, plumbing, HVAC and finishes and implementation of new interior partitions walls, suspended ceilings, lighting, millwork, finishes, plumbing and HVAC to CSA standards. Exterior work includes building signage and pad mounted heat pump units to a screened enclosure. The work also includes provision of new fire extinguishers, security and access control systems, and modification of the existing building fire alarm accordingly.
