CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. — The same Ford pickup truck was at the centre of two collisions on Highway 97 near Charlie Lake this weekend.

The driver of a Ford pickup truck left their vehicle at the side of the highway on Friday after hitting a moose.

Corporal Madonna Saunderson said the Fort St. John RCMP received a report of a vehicle on Highway 97 near Charlie Lake just before 8 p.m. on Friday.

According to Saunderson, when police arrived, the driver was not at the scene, and the vehicle was off the road, not impeding traffic.

The same unoccupied truck was then hit on the side of Highway 97 the next day.

Saunderson said the driver of a Nissan Titan lost control of the vehicle due to slippery conditions around 6:50 p.m. and struck the truck.

The driver of the Nissan was the only person involved in the crash, and no injuries were reported.
