North Peace Grizzlies Update: Senior volleyball teams place first at Northern Classic

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The North Peace Grizzlies hosted the Northern Classic Volleyball Tournament over the weekend.

The Grizzlies had a successful weekend as both senior teams finished first overall, the junior boys placed second, and the junior girls took third.

Six girls teams and four boys teams competed in the tournament.

Players of the Game awards for their playoff matches went to Jayden Labelle, Sofie Pederson, Hailey Baker and Cody Williams.

Next, senior volleyball teams are off to Prince George from November 3rd to 4th, and Bert Bowes Middle School is hosting Junior Regionals Volleyball at North Peace Secondary School from November 3rd to 4th.

A senior volleyball fundraiser will be held on November 8th. Jacyln McNicol, athletic director at North Peace Secondary School, said more info on the event will be released in the future.

The boys soccer team will be heading to provincials from November 22nd to 26th after qualifying in Prince George this past weekend.
