PRRD hosting virtual open house on wildfire resiliency plans

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The Peace River Regional District is looking for feedback from residents as it prepares wildfire resiliency plans for the electoral areas.

Individuals will have an opportunity to chat with the district during a virtual open house on October 24th.

“At the open house, wildfire plans, wildfire risk in the PRRD, and the PRRD’s role will be discussed, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions about the process and potential outcomes,” said the district in a public notice.

According to the BC Wildfire Service, there have been 671 wildfires in the Prince George Fire Centre this year.
