ATV rollover results in fatality near Taylor

TAYLOR, B.C. — An ATV rolled over Saturday night on a remote trail near the District of Taylor, resulting in the death of the adult male driver.

Corporal Madonna Saunderson with the North District RCMP said the call came into the Fort St. John detachment at 7:55 p.m., and a search and rescue group was deployed in response to the incident.

The passenger of the ATV received severe non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Saunderson said it doesn’t look like any criminality was involved in the incident.

Both the BC Coroner Service and RCMP are investigating.
