Storm Irrigation Services to conduct snow removal in city-owned parking lots

Fort St. John council has awarded the three-year contract for snow removal in city-owned parking lots to Storm Irrigation.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. –  Fort St. John council has awarded Storm Irrigation the three year contract for snow removal in city-owned parking lots.

The city issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) on August 1st and received bids from seven companies, including Knappett Industries, Storm Irrigation, Dirt Wranglers, Big League Utilities, North Ascent Environmental and High Country Contracting.

Criteria for the contract consist of appropriate costs for service, sustainable value, qualifications, and more.

The RFP closed on August 11th, and Fort St. John-based Storm Irrigation was awarded the contract for having the lowest bid. 

There are a total of 11 locations that will require snow removal, such as the Pomeroy Sport Centre, City Hall and the new RCMP building.
