FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — George brand sleepers sold at Wal-Mart have been recalled due to choking and ingestion hazards.

According to the Government of Canada, the sleepers’ zipper pulls and foot grips may fall off or be removed through repeated washing, which poses choking and ingestion hazards.

As of September 21st, 2023, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

The company reported that 216,595 units of the affected products were sold in Canada from November 2022 to June 2023.

The recall affects both boys and girls sleepers from sizes 0 to 5T.

There are four affected styles in total:

  • Boys sleeper, style number: GRS30400TB
  • Girls sleeper, style number: GRS30400IG
  • Girls sleeper, style number: GRS30400TG

The style number can be found where a tag would be, under the brand name and wash instructions.

Customers with the recalled sleepers are asked to return the product to Wal-Mart for a full refund.
