DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Dawson Creek RCMP advises residents to be cautious while drinking at bars or pubs after two separate sexual assaults were reported in the community.

The victims believe they were drugged before being sexually assaulted after drinking at a local bar, said police.

Both incidents are still under investigation.

The Dawson Creek RCMP reminds patrons to drink and party with friends, only accept drinks from bartenders, never leave drinks unattended, look out for one another and report any criminal or suspicious behaviour to bar staff or police.

Mounties are asking anyone with information regarding suspicious or criminal behaviour at local liquor establishments to contact the detachment at 250-784-3700. To remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers can be reached at 1-800-222-8477.
