Fort St. John Provincial Court, September 26th sentencing:

Chad Jesse Gordan Sutcliffe-McCarthy (born 1993)

Sutcliffe-McCarthy was found guilty of breach of probation order for an incident on January 8th, 2023, in Fort St. John. He was sentenced to forfeiture, a one-year probation order, a suspended sentence and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime. Forfeiture allows the government to seize property and assets “tainted” by crime, and a suspended sentence is where the accused is given conditions to follow.

Fort St. John Provincial Court, September 27th sentencing:

Mitchell Nicholas Jeff (born 1991)

Jeff was found guilty of driving without reasonable consideration in Charlie Lake on July 24th, 2022. He was sentenced to a three-month probation order and fines totalling $345, including a victim surcharge.

Fort St. John Provincial Court, September 28th sentencing:

Dustan Olof Sweder (born 1974)

Sweder was found guilty of breaking and entering, committing an indictable offence and breaching a probation order for an incident on February 9th, 2023, in Fort St. John, B.C. He was sentenced to 405 days in jail and a three-year probation order.

Victoria Blagden (born 1989)

Blagden was found guilty of seven counts of theft of $5,000 or under and breach of undertaking for incidents in Fort St. John from July to September. She was sentenced to jail time served and one-year probation.

April Nora Marie D’or (born 1982)

D’or was charged with causing fear of injury or damage to a person or property for an incident on October 26th, 2022, in Fort St. John. She was sentenced to a one-year, $500 recognizance after the allegation. If she breaks the conditions laid out by the court, she must pay the $500.

Jeffrey Allen Olson (born 1974)

Olson was found guilty of driving while disqualified, mischief of $5,000 or under, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, two counts of breach of release order, dangerous operation of a conveyance and flight from police. The incidents occurred in Fort St. John and Charlie Lake from May 2022 to May 2023. He was sentenced to a total of 315 days in jail.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, September 26th sentencing:

Adreanna Rose Hambler (born 2001)

Hambler was charged with causing a fear of injury or damage to a person or property for an incident in Dawson Creek on May 24th, 2022. She was sentenced to a one-year, $500 recognizance after the allegation.

Penny Johnston (born 1974)

Johnston was found guilty of the impaired operation of a motor vehicle for an incident in Pouce Coupe on July 22nd, 2020. She was given a $1,000 fine and a one-year prohibition from driving.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, September 27th sentencing:

Jarred Colten Lapretre (born 1992)

Lapretre was found guilty of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, two counts of assault, two counts of assault by choking and breach of release order. The incidents occurred in January and May 2022 in Chetwynd. He was sentenced to jail time served, ordered to submit a DNA sample, an 18-month probation and a 10-year firearm prohibition. 

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, September 28th sentencing:

Jesse William Freeman (born 1992)

Freeman was found guilty of breach of a probation order for an incident in Dawson Creek on January 20th, 2023. He was given jail time served.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, September 29th sentencing:

Dawson Stanley Reginald Church (born 2002)

Church was found guilty of breach of undertaking and causing fear of injury or damage to a person or property for an incident in Dawson Creek on September 22nd, 2022 and November 3rd, 2022. He was given jail time served, a $100 victim surcharge and an 18-month, $500 recognizance after the allegation.

Michael David Trosky (born 1990)

Trosky was found guilty of three counts of breach of release order, mischief, theft and driving while disqualified. The incidents occurred in Dawson Creek in March and June 2023. He was given 34 days in jail, jail time served, one-year probation and a $500 restitution, which requires the offender to pay the victim for financial losses the victim suffered because of the crime.
