NPHL releases 2023-2024 regular season schedule
The Fort St. John Senior Flyers will hit the ice in the North Peace Arena for their home opener against the Valleyview Jets on October 28th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The North Peace Hockey League (NPHL) released its 2023-2024 regular season schedule on Wednesday.
The Fort St. John Senior Flyers will hit the ice in the North Peace Arena for their home opener against the Valleyview Jets on October 28th at 8:30 p.m.
The Flyers will also take on the Grande Prairie Athletics on November 2nd, the Spirit River Rangers on November 4th, and the Manning Comets on November 10th.
In other league news, earlier this month, the NPHL held its annual meeting, where a re-entry bid from the High Prairie Regals was rejected.
According to NPHL President Michael Mercredi, the bid was rejected because the Regals did not attend the annual spring meeting with the intent to apply for the 2023-2024 season, a requirement stated in the league bylaws.
“All teams at the table want the High Prairie Regals in the league,” said Mercredi.
“The league will work with the Regals group and ensure everything is in place for the 2024-2025 season. I know the town can rally behind the Regals, and by this time next year, senior hockey will be on the air and ready for a successful season for years to come.”

Mercredi added the Regals’ first steps are to sign player intents, coaches and a strong executive and to be active on social media next year with team announcements.
“The Regals know what they need to be accepted and voted on by teams to join the league,” said Mercredi.
The NPHL will also choose a date in the near future to celebrate NPHL Hockey Day, recognizing 70 years as a league.
