FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Though he didn’t make it to the quarter-finals of the Carla Hall Presents Favorite Chef competition, a local chef wants to thank the community for its continued support throughout the experience.

During the wildcard round of the competition, Audie Louie Banania, the owner of Audielicious, again narrowly missed making it into the next round, landing in second place.

In a post on his Facebook page, Banania said his journey in the competition is over, but it is not the end of the world.

“We will continue doing what we are doing,” Banania wrote.

He congratulated the chefs that moved on to the quarter-finals and thanked the local voters for their support.

“I’m grateful to be part of this community. The community is always there for me to support me and cheer me up,” Banania said.

The owner and head chef at Audielicious has been in the Energetic City since 2013, starting as a chef at Mr. Mikes, where he stayed for around three years.

Banania then moved to work at what is now known as the Pub and Local Market in Charlie Lake and worked there until he opened Audielicious four years ago.

The finals for the Favorite Chef competition start on August 11th, with the winner being announced around August 25th.
