Petroleum Association Golf Tournament kicks off next week

The 59th Annual Petroleum Association Golf Tournament kicks off next Wednesday at Lakepoint Golf and Country Club.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The 59th Annual Petroleum Association Golf Tournament kicks off next Wednesday, June 7th, at Lakepoint Golf and Country Club. 

Dan Bonin, chairman of the tournament, says Wednesday’s focus will be a practice round and in-person registration. 

“The actual tournament starts on Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. and ends Saturday morning,” said Bonin.

According to Bonin, participants must be members of the Fort St. John Petroleum Association or work in the oil industry in order to register for the tournament. 

The tournament is open to the public to spectate and at its events, which include a dinner and dance on Friday night at the Fort St. John Curling Club. 

Tickets for the dinner and dance are available for purchase at the Lakepoint Golf and Country Club clubhouse or Apex Valve Servies.

Last Spring, Jordan completed her first season providing play-by-play for Trinity Western University Women’s Hockey and gameday hosting for BCHL Coquitlam Express.

Jordan enjoys radio anchoring, creating and editing video content, and hopes to one day pursue a career in investigative journalism as well as producing documentaries.
