City of FSJ awards roadworks tender to DGS Astro Paving

The City of Fort St. John has awarded DGS Astro Paving with the tender for the 2023 Capital Roadworks projects, valued at $3,489,556.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The City of Fort St. John has awarded DGS Astro Paving with the tender for the 2023 Capital Roadworks projects, valued at $3,489,556.

The tender projects include the construction and paving of 82nd Street between 100th and 101st Avenues. Storm sewers, water main, and streetlights will be installed. 

Another project included in the tender is the phase one upgrading of 89th Avenue from 78A Street to 81A Street, which will feature the installation of storm sewers, streetlights, and sidewalks. The water main will be replaced as well. According to the City, phases two and three will be proposed for future funding and construction.

The final project included in the roadworks tender is the upgrading and paving of the parking lot at Mathews Park.

Now that the tender has been awarded, a letter will be issued to DGS Astro and Paving, and construction will begin when weather conditions permit.
