SD60 closes variance enrollments for Ma Murray and Anne Roberts

School District 60 has closed Margaret Ma Murray and Anne Robert Young schools to variance students for the 2023-2024 school year.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — School District 60 has closed Margaret Ma Murray and Anne Roberts Young schools to variance students for the 2023-2024 school year. 

The district made the announcement on its website alongside a letter to parents on April 14th. 

The release states that due to high enrollments at the two schools, students will not be allowed to transfer to either one of the schools through a variance form.

According to the school district, variance forms allow students outside the catchment area of a particular school to transfer to said school. 

At this time, the variance restriction only applies to Margaret Ma Murray and Anne Roberts Young.
