Fellow Blizzard member Ray Avanthay followed closely behind Wray throughout the 16-kilometre course. Tough headwind after the turnaround worked out in Avanthay’s favour, helping him win the fifth and final race of the series. Avanthay defeated Wray by four seconds.

Overall, Wray earned the most points in the series to take the 2023 Spring Stage Champion title.

The club’s next race begins at Woods Corner on Sunday, April 16th, at 2:00 p.m. For more information, visit the Blizzard Bicycle Club’s Facebook page.
