New stop signs around Fort St. John

The City of Fort St. John has permanently installed four new stop signs around the construction of 100th Street.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The City of Fort St. John has placed four new stop signs around construction on 100th Street.

New four-way stops have been added to 105th Avenue and 102nd Street, and 105th Avenue and 98th Street.

In addition to the stop signs around 100th Street, a four-way stop was installed at 112th Avenue and 98th Street, close to Bert Ambrose Elementary.

A three-way stop was also added to 96A Avenue and 90th Street near Toboggan Hill.

The city asks drivers to exercise caution when driving around the new signage and to pay close attention.

According to the city, the changes have been made to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians.

Construction on phase four of the 100th Street Corridor project, between 101st Avenue and 103rd Avenue, started on April 11th and is expected to be finished in the fall.
