Fort St. John Provincial Court, March 27th sentencing:

Arther Joseph Chipesia (born 1965)

Chipesia was found guilty of sexual assault for an incident that occurred on October 15th, 2022. He was sentenced to a four-month conditional sentence, which is a jail sentence to be served within Fort St. John, ordered to report for a DNA sample collection on April 28th, 2023, and given a 12-month probation order.

Matthew Joseph Dupuis (born 1987)

Dupuis was found guilty of driving while prohibited, or his license was suspended for an incident on November 17th, 2022. He was given a $575 fine, including a victim surcharge, which goes towards helping victims of a crime, and a one-year probation order.

Kayden Field (born 2003)

Field was found guilty of assaulting a peace officer regarding an incident on October 21st, 2022. He was given a 12-month probation order and a suspended sentence, which is like a conditional discharge in that the accused is given conditions to follow.

Daen Robert Rakose (born 1979)

Rakose was found guilty of forcible entry for an incident on October 13th, 2022. He was given a probation order of 12 months, a suspended sentence, and a $100 victim surcharge.

Kevin Dwight Vig (born 1996)

Vig was found guilty of impaired operation (alcohol or drug) for an incident on December 21st, 2021. He was given a $1,000 fine and a 1-year prohibition from driving.

Fort St. John Provincial Court, March 31st sentencing:

Percy Raymond Peterkin (born 1987)

Peterkin was found guilty of using a forged document for an incident on November 7th, 2019. He was given a conditional discharge and a one-year probation order.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, March 27th sentencing:

Coty Steven Auger (born 1988)

Auger was found guilty of driving while prohibited, or his licence was suspended for an incident on May 13th, 2022. He was given a $575 fine, including a victim surcharge and a one-year prohibition from driving.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court, March 30th sentencing:

Brenden Steve Grey (born 2000)

Grey was found guilty of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm for an incident on September 21st, 2021. He was sentenced to a forfeiture, which allows the government to seize property and assets “tainted” by crime, jail time served, a one-year probation order, and a five-year prohibition from firearms.

He was also found guilty of breaching his release order on August 13th, 2022. He was sentenced to jail time served.

Zane Stephen Joseph Whitford (born 2004)

Whitford was charged with causing fear of injury or damage to a person or property for an incident on July 10th, 2022. He was sentenced to a one-year, $500 recognizance after the allegation. If he breaks the conditions laid out by the court, he must pay the $500.
