Energetic Amazing Race Cancelled

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Energetic Amazing Race has been cancelled due to low registration and staff shortages.

The City of Fort St. John says that only four of the thirty teams allowed to participate had signed up at the time of the cancellation.

“Due to the fact that we have a lot of staff resources, station prep, and community volunteers involved in this event – we need to ensure we get the enrollment to make it worth everyone’s time and effort. We typically like to see at least half of the spots fill up in order to consider running,” the city said in a Facebook comment.

“In addition to numbers, we are also facing some staff shortages right now that have influenced the cancellation decision.”
