FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – After the City of Fort St. John received some questions about line painting from residents, they turned to social media to respond.

The city says they use a contractor to paint the lines twice per year, in the spring and the fall.

The contractor starts in the southern portions of the province and works their way north as the weather improves, and the city says they’re expected to arrive in Fort St. John in early to mid-June.

The city adds that the road painting needs temperatures to stay above freezing, and the roads cannot be wet.
