Man faces sexual assault charges from 2007 incident

Justin Sewell of Fort St. John has been charged following a sexual assault investigation into an incident in Charlie Lake in 2007.

Fort St. John RCMP started their investigation in 2019 after hearing the allegations.

Sewell faces four charges, including sexual assault, overcoming resistance to commission of offence, and two counts of voyeurism.

Justin Sewell was arrested and later released on conditions to appear in court on May 16th.

Although there may be questions related to the circumstances around these incidents, this matter is now before the court, and as such, no further information will be provided,” said BC RCMP Division Media Relations Officer Sergeant Chris Manseau.
