WAINWRIGHT A.B. – The Fort St. John Huskies have capped off a historic season by winning the Alberta Junior B Provincials.

In the final of the Alberta Junior B championship, the Huskies beat the Cochrane Generals 6-0.

Justin Brownlee scored the first goal for the Huskies in the first period.  In the second period, the Huskies scored three goals and ended the period up 4-0.   The goals were scored by Lee and two by Nimmo.

Halfway through the third, Nimmo scored another goal giving him the hat trick.  Late in the third, Frenette scored the sixth goal for the Huskies.

This was the first time since 2003, that the Huskies made it back to the Provincial final.

The club qualified for Alberta Junior B Provincial Championships after winning the North West Junior Hockey League finals.
