FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Part of the Alaska Highway between Taylor and Fort St. John will be closed for at least three hours on Tuesday.

Dawson Road Maintenance announced late Monday that the Alaska Highway will be closed at the Fort St. John Rail Underpass.

Traffic will be detoured around the area using the Airport Road and Swanson Lumber Road.

Dawson Road Maintenance says the road will be closed starting at 11 a.m. and could be closed for approximately three hours.

Dawson Road Maintenance is asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
