FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John International Airshow is going to have so much action, it’s going to need two days to cover everything.

The Airshow Committee announced on Tuesday that the show is confirmed for July 30th and 31st, 2022, at the Fort St. John Regional Airport.

This year’s edition is sure to be a family-friendly affair with in-air displays and a focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) displays and learning opportunities for all ages.

“We are excited to bring a two-day, family-friendly event full of awe-inspiring performers and exciting STEM displays,” said Sandi Miller, producer.

“After the unfortunate cancelling of our 2021 event, the committee is looking forward to creating a memorable air show event and bringing some much-needed fun and excitement to our community.”

Along with the STEM displays, there are some commitments to announce. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the Yellow Thunder and the Erickson Aircraft Collection are confirmed for 2022, and the Airshow Committee says more performers will be announced in the new year.

“The committee is hard at work planning and piecing together an incredible show for our upcoming 2022 event – we’re very excited to host the Snowbirds and our other confirmed performers, and we are looking forward to sharing more exciting news in the new year,” said Allan Miller, chair.
