VICTORIA, B.C. – Youth from across the province are invited to apply for a five-day simulation of the Westminster Parliamentary System.

Every year, 97 youth get the chance to travel to the British Columbia Parliament Buildings in Victoria, legislating bills that govern the organization’s community service projects for the remaining year, hearing from speakers around the community, and engaging in various social activities.

The BC Youth Parliament (BCYP) teaches citizenship skills by participating in the parliamentary session in December and continuous involvement in community service activities. The Youth Parliament is a one-year commitment.

This year, the BCYP will be holdings its 93rd parliamentary session from Monday, December 27th to 31st.  Any participants are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Youth aged 16 to 21 interested in applying can go to the BCYP website and download the application for submission, applications are accepted until Tuesday, October 26th.
