FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A driver passed away after a single-car collision on Rose Prairie Road in the Montney Coulees on Tuesday, according to BC RCMP.
Around 1:45 p.m., RCMP received a report that a vehicle had veered into a median while travelling through the coulees, and eventually drove into a berm.
Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, of the North District RCMP, says witnesses on the scene administered first aid to the driver, but to no avail. The driver had passed away at the scene.

There was a lone passenger in the vehicle at the time. No injuries to the passenger were mentioned in the police report.
The BC Coroners Service is currently investigating to determine a cause of death.
