DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Get your cowboy boots ready because the Dawson Creek Exhibition and Stampede is happening this year.

The Dawson Creek Exhibition Association announced on Facebook Wednesday that a “Person Traditional Fair” will be taking place from August 11th to 15th.

The decision comes after B.C.’s announcement that the province will move towards step three of its restart plan.  This means outdoor gatherings are now permitted up to 5,000 people or 50 per cent capacity, whichever is greater.

“With the announcement from the BC Government yesterday in regards to capacity levels for fairs and outdoor events, we will be selling advanced tickets online. Stay tuned for release dates.”

The DCEA says the fair will be scaled down, but livestock exhibits will continue.
