TAYLOR, B.C. – With the province heading for step 2 of the reopening plan, the Taylor Speedway is preparing to welcome up to 50 spectators as early as next week.
This weekend, the Doug Babcock Memorial Points Challenge goes Friday and Saturday. Races start at 7 p.m.
Fans who want to get their fill of race action can tune into the Facebook Live streams, available on the Taylor Speedway page.
In advance of the speedway opening for fans, a work bee was held on Wednesday evening. Volunteers were out painting the bleachers, cutting grass, and sprucing up the grounds to prepare for the summer season.
The Father’s Day Hit to Pass event has been postponed due to restrictions of 50 spectators. Taylor Speedway officials say a date will be released later this summer for the biggest event of the year.
