VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added nine new cases Thursday, moving the active case count to 73.

There are six people in hospital, four of whom are in critical care.

There were no COVID-19 deaths recorded Thursday, keeping the regional total at 154.

Out of 7,741 cases since last March, 7,514 have since recovered.

There were 3,782 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered Wednesday in the Northern Health Region, bringing the total number of residents with one dose to 146,320.

The province added 153 new cases Thursday, moving the active case count to 1,910.

There are 176 people in hospital, 49 of whom are in critical care.

The province confirmed four COVID-19 deaths Thursday, moving the total to 1,729.

There have been 145,996 cases and 142,314 recoveries since last March.

The province gave 64,418 doses of the vaccine on Wednesday, bringing the total number of first doses to 3,359,494.

Northern Health issued a COVID-19 school exposure notice for Ecole Central Elementary on June 1st and 2nd.
