DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – An elementary school in Dawson Creek is looking to acquire a rain barrel.
Students at McLeod Elementary School recently completed a Medicine Wheel located at the back of the school. According to a letter written to council on May 31st, placed around the wheel is a variety of plants. The plants would need to be watered and there is no water tap behind the school, making the task a tricky one.
Students at the school suggested a rain barrel as an efficient way to keep plants watered and the school is asking to council and the city of Dawson Creek for a donation to supplement the watering needs.
The topic will be discussed at the upcoming June 14th Regular Council Meeting.
