Asphalt plant to create smoke over three week in Tumbler Ridge

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. – Smoke is expected to be seen in the Tumbler Ridge area for the next three weeks due to asphalt operations, says the district fire department.

The visible smoke is due to an asphalt plant, located near the race track,  facilitating highway paving from the district to Chetwynd.

The fire department reminds the public to be cautious while sitting around the campfire this summer due to the dry conditions.
