WONOWON, B.C. – The BC Wildfire Service says a fire near Wonowon is being held after spreading to 10 hectares on Crown land.
A crew of 10 firefighters are on site containing the reported slow moving ground fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and is suspected to be human-caused.
The fire was discovered Wednesday, approximately 6 km in on the Mile 98 Road east of Hwy 97, around 75 km north of Fort St. John. When first reported, the fire was four hectares in size.
