FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – A traffic light at the intersection of 100th Avenue and 96th Street has blown over hours after a wind warning was issued for B.C. North Peace River and B.C. South Peace River.
Environment Canada says the strong winds may cause damage. Winds southwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 will strengthen to 70 km/h gusting to 90 this afternoon as a low pressure system crosses northern British Columbia.
Strong winds will abate in the evening as the system exits the region.
